Haha, Ron's bar has quite a reputation, doesn't it? Whenever I pass by I hear obviously drunk people sing songs on a mic and other people singing along :p. I've never dared to step inside though ;). Yet. Now that it's even famous in England I should consider it.

I'm not sure where people here actually hang out though. I guess mostly the pubs in the Langestraat (same street as Ron's pub) and maybe some discos outside of Oostende. I don't really go out here. I've lived mostly in Leuven the past five years, since I studied there, so I didn't really stayed up to date with what's "hot and happening" in Oostende. But it's nice to hear you like it :).

Yerevan's a cool place, but as far as specific recommendations, it's surprisingly hard to come up with anything. Armenians themselves just end up saying that you need to visit the major museums and such... better to just go where your whim takes you. The old monasteries and the Garni temple are certainly worth seeing, though, and there's plenty within an hour's drive of Yerevan.
