For the best tone is a silver headjoin important. (you can also choice for a silver body or gold headjoin/body. These are very expensive!!)

When I was begin, I use the mark Yamaha. The marks that I love are: Altus, Miyazawa and Muramatsu. I will buy soon a new flute.

The most important thing to buy a flute is testing it. If it doesn't feel good, don't buy. You must be have a connection. :)
