I mean the majority of people usually don't have a religion, but they're tolerant. And when I say the majority, it's more like 51%, it depends of the countries really. But I think most people just don't give a shit, and most of us are clearly secular. We would elect an atheist president, America wouldn't.

So you think your faith could actually be taken apart by too convincing arguments ? I think you should actually try to hear different point of vues precisely before your faith grows stronger so you can judge everything better. A too strong faith would take away any openness to something different, at least I'm assuming so.

Were you raised as a christian ? And if that's the case, do you realise that if you'd been raised in Saudi Arabia you'd very likely be muslim, and that if Bill Maher was your father you'd probably be atheist ? :p I always find it weird to think about. Religion should be chosen, a life-long atheist who converts himself has more credibility than an 8 year old terrorist :D

Most people you know must be christians, right ? I'm sure atheists are criticised all the time in the US, way less than religious people (but I may be wrong, I don't know). Fortunately I'm from Europe where being an atheist generally is better seen than being religious. But I guess most americans would say "Fortunately I'm from the US where being religious generally is better seen than being atheist". But seriously, Europe seems way cooler on that matter.

While you're obviously not trying to convert atheists into christians, may I try to convert a christian into an atheist ? :D (In a few months my agnosticism has actually more evolved into an atheism even though I still consider myself an agnostic) Well I'm not exactly trying to shake people's beliefs, I mostly want their opinion on a book who does. So please do take a stranger's suggestion and read The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. Very interesting book indeed.

Other than that, I gotta admit Jesus is pretty cool.
