I only have swedish authors in mind right now, but some of Nora Robert's books are more crime than romance. I like those better, they are really thrilling. She often include the murderer as a perspective in the book so you get an insight in his mind, why he's killing people and his next target :)

i google the Carl Morck-series from Adler Olsen ...alas ..cant find chinese version :-(

Yeah a lot of people have problem with it :D And it's quite funny when someone is trying to spell it right.
