Yes i am Australian hehe i was born here but my parents migrated here they are both filopino. Yes, i also want to go to japan and experience/learn those things especially the culture and the trends :D. If you go to study for art, maybe its best you go to england, japan or america, there is not much facilities and teachers here. What kind of illustry do you want to do? For example; Childrens books, manga, comics.
